Since these are so affordable, I highly recommend adding both of them to your collection. It’s hard to believe these primers are under $10CAD. Whether you’re going for a radiant or flawlessly blurred look, both of these primers deliver. The luminous version works better on its own in my opinion. I’ve worn this primer alone as well but I prefer to wear it under tinted moisturizer or foundation. As with the luminous version, the best way to apply this is to press it in with your fingers. Flawless is the best word to describe how this makes your skin look. This smooths over your skin and gives a softly filtered, blurred, smooth canvas. This primer is infused with squalene to provide hydration and as with the luminous version, I find this primer just as hydrating. ![]() ![]() I find, once applied, they don’t look overly different on the skin albeit the luminous version is much more radiant. formula was just as incredible on my skin as the luminous version. While the Tatcha primer didn’t work for, the E.L.F. I wish I had picked up this primer when it first came out because it’s amazing. After falling in love with the Luminous Putty Primer, I decided to give the original formula a try as they had just launched in stores in Canada. This has widely been touted as a dupe for the Tatcha Silk Canvas Protective Primer, which I had tried and didn’t like. I’ve found it doesn’t work under only one foundation for me and that was the Maybelline Dream Radiant Liquid Foundation(I think it was the foundation’s fault though I can’t get that foundation to work for me).Īs I said above, I was never initially interested in the original formula, the Poreless Putty Primer. I’ve worn this under foundation, tinted moisturizer, and just on its own and I love how it sits on my skin. It literally just makes your face look radiant and glowing, while giving it a softly blurred look. The luminous formula has some shimmer in it but I don’t find that it translates onto the skin. I would normally associate a poreless primer with a mattifying and drying formula but somehow this hydrates while completely smoothing out your skin. While I don’t see any of the plumping claims, it does deliver on hydration. This primer promises a “ soft, radiant base for your makeup application“( ) and is infused with collagen and hyaluronic acid. I love glowing, lit-from-within skin and this product really delivers. I kept hearing rave reviews about the original Poreless Putty Primer, and while I originally wasn’t interested in that formula, I was immediately intrigued when they released a luminous version. I felt they didn’t do too much for me or for my makeup wear so I stopped wearing them altogether. I have many primers and I’ve used them but never religiously. As someone who wasn’t the biggest believer in primer, this product has changed my mind. Hi beauties! If you’ve been following my Instagram stories for the last couple of months, you’ll know that I’ve been obsessed with the E.L.F. ![]()
